out & about
Ideally located within the ‘Golden Triangle’ of the renowned Margaret River region, Summerwind Cottage offers the ultimate country holiday experience. Historic caves, forest and surf can be found together with manmade treats such as wine, chocolate and cheese throughout the region. Fortunately, the allure of the area has not been spoiled by its popularity.
Within walking distance from the estate guests can visit the wineries of Amberley, Deepwoods Estate, Rivendell and AbbeyVale. The famous winery drive along Caves road to the town of Margaret River is less than 20 minutes away. Taking a break from the wineries is also possible with a couple of breweries nearby, including Bootleg Brewery (a 15 minute drive). The Berry Farm, The Margaret River Cheese Factory and The Margaret River Chocolate Company are all close and highly recommended.
Absolutely everything is within easy reach! The fantastic surf at Smiths Beach and Canal Rocks are only a 10 minute drive from us. Further exploration of tranquil beaches and vast natural areas is also suggested with a drive to Geographe Bay, a wide curve of coastline extending from Cape Naturaliste.
Galleries, craft shops, pottery and award winning restaurants await! If you crave a bit of shopping or town experience, Dunsborough is a 10 minute drive, and Busselton 20 minutes.
These are just a few of the many attractions the area holds. The beauty of staying at Summerwind Cottage is that guests can choose to get out and about and enjoy a diverse range of activities, or just tuck themselves into a plush bed for some superior relaxation!
