A secluded sanctuary, the cottage at Summerwind Estate is nestled alongside the estate’s vineyard, with vines a mere 30 meters away. Summerwind is a boutique vineyard specialising in red varieties, and situated amongst the giants of the Margaret River wine region in Western Australia. Summerwind Cottage is a self-catering accommodation that provides an exclusive country holiday experience for all seasons.

Established at the beginning of the twentieth century, the cottage was built as a group settlement home for early settlers. It is understood that it was once the original farmhouse of the adjacent 2,000 acres. Guests at the cottage will find the front two rooms as they were, and can hark back to yesteryear upon viewing the original hardwood floors and high ceilings. Walls made from the tin sheep bales, and original pressed tin ceilings lend to the ambience of comfort and serenity.

The current owners renovated the rear rooms of the cottage upon moving to the property in 1997. Accordingly, the kitchen, two bathrooms and master bedroom provide all of the security of a modern home while tying in perfectly with the structural design of the original cottage.
